Advertorial HLP Packaging1
Pressures on the packaging industry are intensifying in the global marketplace. Too often, packaging is forced into commodity status, subject to the decisions and strategies of other sectors. But packaging will soon strengthen its role as a strategic partner in the marketplace. To do that, packaging organizations need a more distinct view of the future.
Significant increases in energy, material and transportation costs have hit the UK packaging industry hard as foreign manufacturers C even those located on the European continent C have not been subject to such stark cost increases. Additionally many non-domestic producers, particularly those in Asia, have cost advantages due to lower labour costs and less stringent environmental legislation. The above factors have contributed to the presence of increased foreign competition within the market. In 2008 this meant tough times for the UK packaging industry.
In response to these conditions some manufactures simply increased their prices, forcing clients to withdraw their operations from the UK and move their production to other global locations. This began to cause many problems for companies as different time zones and languages played a significant part in customer dissatisfaction.
Mr C. M. Yeung, the managing director of Hip Lik Packaging, based in Hong Kong, created a niche market by opening customer support offices in the UK. This strategy proved to be successful as HLP Packaging was able to offer competitive pricing along with the support that customers felt did not previously exist.
Mr. C. M. Yeung explains that, Packaging and its products touch our lives every day. I want to offer services and a high quality product that in my opinion has not yet existed in the UK.
Hip Lik remains one of the leading innovators in the plastic packaging and thermoformed packaging industry. Hip Liks designers, engineers, model makers, and machinists are highly skilled industry veterans who will deliver the quality your company demands. Hip Lik is an expert at both custom design and at manufacturing custom plastic packaging.
Hip Lik is able to manufacture high standard blister packaging and clamshell packaging, including the tri-fold structure and numerous other styles to adapt to clients requirements. The quality of material that Hip Lik used is the highest that can be supplied from Europe and Japan, offering clients the best point of sale possible. Hip Liks expanding thermoform production will allow Hip Lik to continue to increase market share, as blister packaging is expected to increase to 2.7 billion U.S. dollars by 2010.
The Hip Lik group has achieved market leader status in the transparent packaging industry, leading the world market in quality and customer care. Mr. C. M. Yeung was asked how he was able to achieve this amount of success. He answered , its all about the passion and drive to deliver superior packaging to the client that no competitor can rival.
The group has been established for almost 39 years (since 1969)with offices based all around the world and the head office based in Hong Kong. With the production level at maximum capacity the group has enjoyed great success in opening a new factory that is four times the size of its previous one. This brings exciting news to many companies that depend on packaging from Hip Lik. With the opening of the new factory, Hip Lik Group can make full use of their highly advanced Roland six and eight colour printing machines and their fully automatic soft crease machines.
Although the majority of the packaging market has had significant price increases and decreasing customer relations and service, it is safe to say HLP Clear Packaging Products (UK) Limited stands out from the rest. The Hip Lik Group is acknowledged as the market leader and has expectations of continued leadership in the many years to come.
